About the role

Join Fastned at the forefront of Europe’s electric vehicle and charging infrastructure revolution! Together with +400 colleagues from over 40 nationalities, spread across 10 countries, we drive change in the energy transition. What sets us apart is our focus on reliability, sustainability and clean energy. We have been awarded “Best Charging Network” in the UK, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands, further establishing Fastned as a leading player in the field. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact!

Your role

Fastned is supercharging the future of electric mobility in France and we want you to help lead this change. As our Construction Lead France, you’ll be at the forefront of building a cleaner, faster world, steering our local Construction Management team to deliver cutting-edge fast charging stations across the country. You’ll work hand-in-hand with talented leaders, from the Director of Construction Management (hiring manager) to the Country Director, Lead Architect, and Expansion Lead, turning bold ideas into reality and paving the way for sustainable transport.

In our matrix organisation, you’re the connector, bridging local ambition with global expertise. Your leadership will be the driving force behind our mission: making electric driving accessible to everyone, everywhere. Join us and help shape the energy infrastructure of tomorrow.

Your responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the local Construction team, including day-to-day responsibilities, performance reviews and coaching, as well as recruiting new members into the team. You know what it takes to develop your team members, improving the quality of their work and their personal growth while setting direction.

  • Create an engaging, fun, and performance-driven team culture for your team.

  • Coordinate with the Country Director, Lead Architect and the Expansion Lead to ensure that all project timelines are met and within budget.

  • Collaborate with other Construction Leads and the Director of Construction Management to ensure consistent practices across all countries.

  • Develop strategies for national suppliers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders (highway authorities, grid operators, etc.).

  • Regularly report on project status and continuously reduce bottlenecks in line with a long term vision and by anticipating future challenges.

Electric mobility is new territory for you? No problem! As part of your onboarding, you will participate in a series of exciting workshops where you will learn everything important about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our innovative and rapidly growing company!

Who we are looking for

You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and responsibility. You have experience and are happy to continuously switch from very practical tasks and deep involvement in the operations to work on highly strategic questions. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. Additionally, we encourage you to apply if you tick a good share of the following boxes:

  • A Bachelor degree (or equivalent background); electrical engineering, or civil engineering is a plus,

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (with this, we don’t mean construction or charging infrastructure!),

  • Strong leadership and communication skills,

  • A good level of strategic thinking and vision,

  • Strong interpersonal abilities to inspire and lead teams, as well as resolving conflicts constructively and fostering efficient collaboration across teams,

  • Organisational competencies and the ability to continuously improve internal processes,

  • Analytical and structured approach combined with a good level of stress resilience,

  • Negotiation skills, commercial judgement and stakeholder management,

  • Near-native level in French and fluency in English,

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
