Summary

The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with leadership at all levels to incorporate technology into the Water Stewardship goals and objectives. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and strong interpersonal skills. As a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, the analyst will ensure that business needs are clearly defined, thoroughly documented, and effectively translated into high-quality solutions. Additionally, this role will facilitate Agile processes, refine user stories, and drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  1. Requirement Elicitation and User Stories: Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews with the business to gather requirements and translate them into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  2. Backlog Management: Working closely with the Product Owner to prioritize the product backlog and ensure it reflects the needs of the business and the development team.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Acting as a liaison between business, development teams, and product owners, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives. Help stakeholders understand Agile practices and manage changing priorities.
  4. Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Must be an advocate for Agile principles. 
  5. Documentation: Maintaining up-to-date documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and any other relevant artifacts that support the Agile process
  6. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the Agile framework and recommending changes to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  7. Mentoring and Training: Providing guidance and training to junior business analysts and other team members. Share knowledge of business analysis techniques and frameworks.
  8. Solution Design: Collaborating with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs and requirements.
