The Real Estate Paralegal will assist up to four attorneys with business formations, real estate transactions and closings, and other organizational and administrative duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- LLC formation documents and operating agreements
- Purchase and Sale Agreements, Leases and other real estate documents, and preparing summaries of such documents
- Coordinating, calendaring and tracking due diligence items and critical dates for transactions
- Title commitments, title insurance policies and surveys
- Research of property information on assessor and other websites
- Commercial Real Estate Closings, including preparing closing checklists, closing documents and settlement statements
- Loan Closings
- Preparing Closing Binders and following up with outside parties post-closing
- Competent with Outlook, Word, Excel, and other software programs
- Ability to multitask various projects
- Professional interaction with clients and other parties
- Assist professionals with client projects and project management
Necessary Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work successfully with multiple team members, interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Competent to handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow through and follow up, and adapt to quickly meet changing deadlines and priorities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
- Retain a high level of flexibility and resourceful problem solving. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferred
- Prior litigation experience required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- In office position
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
- Normal office environment; no unusual physical demands.
