Collateral Underwriter

• Complete comprehensive collateral reviews in a timely manner to meet service level expectations, including appraisal reports and title policies.
• Analyze, evaluate, and decision appraisal reports in accordance with all agency and investor guidelines and standards.
• Maintain a pipeline of loans and communicate issues to appraisers, processors, and loan originators.
• Collaborate with Post Closing on any stipulations for closed files.
• Remain current on loan program requirements and company policies and review documents for compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years mortgage underwriting experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of collateral underwriting preferred.

Education / Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

• Fast-paced environment.
• Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
• Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
• Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires sitting, bending.
• Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
• Lifting requirements of 10 lbs. occasionally.
• Minimal travel <5%.
