The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20-$26/hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Description:
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled computer science and engineering students to join our team as interns. As a member of our research group, you will develop tools to analyze the performance of mapping and localization systems in autonomous vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in autonomous vehicle technology, as well as work in a collaborative team environment with experienced engineers and researchers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a ROS2-based tool for performance analysis of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) systems.
Process and analyze data from various sensors, such as LiDAR and cameras, to evaluate system performance.
Collaborate with experienced engineers to refine and optimize the tool for real-world applications.
Requirements:
You must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
Maintaining a 3.0 GPA
Strong background in computer science (algorithms, data structures) and mathematics (linear algebra, calculus).
Proficiency in C++, Rust, or Python programming languages.
Experience with ROS2 and sensor data processing is highly desirable.
Familiarity with mapping and localization techniques is a plus.
