This position works in the Department of Otolaryngology. Its primary purpose is to treat
patients both independently and as a team member with our Faculty. There are two
primary practice locations: the USF South Tampa Center (STC) located across from
TGH, and the USF Morsani Center (located on the USF campus). This position support
faculty in the inpatient setting at Tampa General Hospital and outpatient setting at STC
and Morsani.
Clinical -
Provides inpatient and outpatient care including initial and follow-up evaluation, pre-and
post-operative patient care.
Administrative -
This position works in the Department of Otolaryngology. Its primary purpose is to treat
patients both independently and as a team member with our Faculty. There are two

Other -
Performs other duties as assigned by Chair.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.
Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
Responsible for academic advising and related activities.
May represent the university, college/school, or department.
Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of
specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and
otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for
appointment to the rank of Instructor.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic
degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code,
Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and
certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.
Previous experience working in Otolaryngology/ENT preferred.
