Betts Truck Parts & Service is seeking a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our San Leandro team. Our Mobile Technicians travel to various locations to repair and overhaul brake, suspension, and steering systems on a wide range of vehicles, including automobiles, buses, trucks, trailers, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent Betts in a respectful and professional manner to all customers, vendors, associates, and other contacts
• Examine vehicles and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the Service Manager
• Complete paperwork documenting parts needed and the work to be performed
• Replace components such as springs, walking beams, u-bolts, hangers, torque arms, equalizers, kingpins, drag links, air systems, shocks, brakes, and other suspension and steering-related parts

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie in a horizontal position for prolonged periods
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and non-DOT physical
• Basic knowledge of air brake systems functions
• Ability to use a cutting torch and perform welding
• Understanding of brake hydraulic systems, including testing
• Knowledge of steering and suspension components
• Ability to measure components and verify if they are within specifications
