About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman

We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. Job Description

AECOM/Tishman, a leading builder in the City of New York, has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Electrical Estimator to join our team.

• Responsible for management of the Material Cost Estimation function. 
• Has primary responsibility for supervision and development of first level Supervisors/Managers. 
• Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of the supervisory/management team. 
• As a senior manager, establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignment to subordinate managers. 
• Review objectives to determine success of operation. 
• Develops, modifies, executes company polices that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect. 
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. 
• Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Familiar with estimating all elements of the Electrical trades including:

• Electrical
• Tel/Data and Low Voltage systems
• Site utilities and distribution

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BS Engineering/Construction Manager or related curriculum and 10 years of progressive experience estimating construction projects for a large vertical GC or contractor or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred requirements:

• 10-12 years demonstrated construction experience.
• Demonstrated construction experience in estimating Electrical trades.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and to work with multi stakeholders.
• Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet-based programs: Blue Beam, OST, MS Excel, MS Word
• Ability to read and take-off – Electrical systems, Tel-Communication systems, BMS, Security and Fire Alarm systems.
• Strong mathematic aptitude.
