Shipping Clerk-AUP

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $16.75-$23.50 per year/hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location. SHIPPING CLERK-2nd SHIFT-AUSTIN PLANT

This position reports to Ivan Mendoza Ramirez, 2nd Shift Shipping Superintendent.

The work schedule for this position is Sunday to Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Start time is 2:00pm every two weeks. Overtime is required. Some weekend work is required. Flex time is not available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The person in this position:

• Coordinates the loading of inbound and outbound trucks.
• Reconciles inbound and outbound shipments contents between operator entry and actual orders. 
• Assists supervisors in monitoring inventory, code dates, paperwork completion, physical inventory sampling and other duties as assigned. 
• Maintains accurate Warehouse, Cold Side AS/RS, Freezer and Loin Cooler inventory records. 
• Assist transportation team as needed 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• High school education or the equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately add large columns of numbers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to learn plant-based computer applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work on your feet and tolerate working in a 40° environment.
• Experience with personal computers, Windows, and Excel.

Preferred

• Knowledge of company inventory control system.
