The Clinical Research Associate will serve as a primary research associate for activities related to the National Capital Area (NCA) Minority/Underserved NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) at Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC). The incumbent is crucial in helping recruit patients to NCORP approved protocols. Under direct supervision of the NCORP Program Manager, the Clinical Research Associate has additional duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee recruitment and consent activities, ensuring that enrollment and registration are correct per protocol requirements.

  • Manage the administration of study related questionnaires as well as biospecimen acquisition, delivery and shipment.

  • Conduct image acquisition and submission, patient triage, and follow-up per protocol.

  • Collect screening schedules for eligible candidates, managing all data entry and record maintenance.

  • Fulfill data requests and reports as requested by NCORP Program Manager, reviewing and updating SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) for protocols.

  • Review and resolve data queries, assisting with the preparation of training and presentation materials (slides, flyers).

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred

  • At least 2 years’ experience in clinical research

  • Experience with interactive databases, Microsoft, and EHR systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$21.16 - $35.29

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
