About the role
How you will contribute

• Serve as the point of contact and expert for Mechanization and large-scale improvement projects for internal departments, Suppliers and customer relations.
• Detail out mechanization/process designs which will act as the main fundament to build the warehouse of the future
• Work closely with Project Management teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the requirements of the business.
• Keep the helicopter view in a fast pace changing environment
• Make informed recommendations and decisions related to mid- and long-term solutions
• Update existing headcount analysis tools to analyze the impact of business changes and prepare summary reports for and in support of Operations
• Drive improvements throughout the site based on factual substantiation
• Present complex technical solution internally and to our customers and make sure all input from an Engineering perspective 
• Manage the engineering function for assigned projects and activities including engineering budget, processes, equipment, work standards and facilities.
• Act as coach in the team for Junior Engineers
• As an expert in Logistic Engineering, share knowledge and expertise in our engineering community and with our extensive operational teams.
• Utilize Lean Standards in everyday assignments and analysis including Line Balancing, PFEP, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA's, Control Plans, engineering studies and resource requirements sheets.
• Optimizing existing processes by acting as a Sponsor in continuous improvement projects run by operational teams.

 

What You Bring
Your Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Technical Logistics
• +5 years of experience in an Engineering role within large Mechanization and automation projects
• Strong communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management
• Able to present with impact
• Have a good sense of urgency
• Capable to adapt and cope with a continuous changing environment and a demanding customer
• Experienced in project management
• Experience in LEAN
• MS Office365: expert MS Excel; proficient in MS Visio
• Experience with AutoCAD is an asset
• An excellent command of the Dutch and English language orally and in writing
• Good Social skills
• Retain a helicopter view under pressure.
