Manager, Restaurant Construction

The Zaxby’s Support Center is looking for Restaurant Construction Manager to join the Design & Construction team. The Construction Manager will manage new and remodel franchisee construction projects. Key components to this position include the ability to multi-task, implement efficient building practices, oversee the project timing and subcontractor quality of work, and coordinate communications between architect, designers, engineers, and owners. Participation is required in all phases of development for Franchisee and Corporate growth, including building plan review, construction site visits, and communication with architects, general contractors, engineers, and vendors.

This position is field-based in the Atlanta, GA area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Support Franchisees in all facets of the development process
• Effectively communicate with franchisees and manage all approvals during the development of new and remodel restaurants
• Ensure that budgets and schedules are maintained and current
• Participate/lead ongoing value engineering process
• Attend meetings with public municipalities as required
• Conduct on-site meetings at specific milestones to insure adherence to schedule and design
• Manage RFI process
• Maintain current photo library and field notes on each project
• Keep current all projected and actual dates in inventory report from design to turnover
• Prepare punch lists to ensure brand standards, and quality standards are maintained
• Collaborate with Design team to see that errors and omissions are corrected during routine plan maintenance
• Prepare, communicate and educate the project teams on changes in policies and practices within the organization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience:  3-5 years of experience in QSR construction management; 3 years experience managing Franchisee New and Remodel Construction, Freestanding, Conversion, and Inline/Multi-Tenant Spaces

$115,000 - $140,000
