 If you're ready to take the next step in your career and thrive in a collaborative, inclusive setting, we are currently seeking skilled veterinary technicians to join our Internal Medicine Department.

Compensation:
  • Veterinary Technicians:
    •  $25-$30/hr, based on experience & licensure
  • Veterinary Assistants:
    • $22-$25/ hr, based on experience
  • + $3/hr weekend differential
  • +$2/hr overnight differential
Schedules Available:
  • Full Time (Mondays – Fridays)
    • 8am - 5pm
General Overview:
The successful candidate will work alongside a board-certified Veterinary Internist to provide exceptional client service and the highest standard of patient care. Our Internal Medicine department collaborates with multiple specialty services. Internal Medicine technicians play a vital role in supporting GCVS-NP’s commitment to 24/7/365 veterinary care by contributing to on-call services, holiday coverage, and occasional support in other departments.

  • venipuncture
  • drug dose calculation
  • strong interest in internal medicine
  • Prepares exam and procedure rooms for each visit, anticipating needs of the DVM.
  • Obtain patients current body weight, reason for visit and brief history.
  • Obtain other vitals and lab work as needed.
  • Perform and assist with all aspects of animal restraint for exams and procedures.
  • Collects and processes all bloodwork
  • Administers medications
  • Assists with procedures and endoscopy per the doctor’s orders.
  • Under the direction of the Internist, runs anesthesia during procedures as needed.
  • Prepare estimates and collect payment as needed.
  • Other duties as needed.
About you:
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least 2 years of experience, dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
  • Prior experience in Emergency and specialty hospital is required.
