Strategic Planning & Operations Advisor, Industry & Government Affairs

In this role you will support the Industry & Government Affairs team in the definition and implementation of Engagement Plans in strategic markets.

As part of your responsibilities you will facilitate and support the elaboration of market analysis, stakeholder mapping and narratives to position Amadeus before targeted public and institutional stakeholders. You will also lead, and as required participate in, specific workstreams and projects in Industry Affairs to expand the relationship with public institutions, governments and trade industry stakeholders. Furthermore, you will manage relevant internal reporting initiatives and be responsible for keeping up to date our repository of relevant documentation, position papers and market analysis.

Purpose

1. Support the definition and implementation of Engagement Plans in strategic markets. Facilitate and support the elaboration of market analysis, stakeholder mapping and narratives to position Amadeus before targeted public and institutional stakeholders

2. Assist the team of Industry and Government Affairs in stakeholder management relationship projects in different geographies (analysis, tools)

3. Coordinate or lead internal projects: Internal Engagement, position with Trade Associations and Diplomacy, internal and external communications, ad hoc strategic analysis

4. Contribute to the Amadeus strategic initiatives lead by Industry and Government Affairs with targeted Trade Associations and other institutional players (NGOs, Academia, Chamber of Commerce and others) in collaboration with the Business Units, Corporate Communication and other relevant internal and external stakeholders

5. Manage relevant internal reporting initiatives. Responsible for keeping up to date our repository of relevant documentation, analysis, Engagement Plans

6. Support in special projects such as public funding opportunities or initiatives in conjunction with Amadeus Business Unit and other third parties involved

Key Accountabilities

1. Definition, implementation and monitoring of Engagement Plans jointly with other areas

2. Support and facilitate the work of the team in terms of planning, analysis and reporting Contribute to keep the Engagement of the team up

3. Coordinate interactions with relevant internal units: Legal areas, Corporate Communication in terms of elaboration of market narratives, key messages, comms approach, Corporate Strategy

4. Support to special projects: pursuing Public Funding opportunities, elaboration of value proposition for governments, analysis of stakeholder management and relationship models

About the ideal candidate

- University degree in Economics, Business or International Relations

- Experience in a strategic planning and support role with strong analytical and project management skills.

- Experience in travel, tourism and technology industries

- Fluency in English is required

- Organizational and Internal Building Relations skills 

- Experience in government, trade associations or institutions in supporting/coordinating strategic complex projects (public funding will be a plus), stakeholder relationship, diplomatic support would be a plus
