Adult Primary Care Physician (27450)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Primary Care Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. Accommodating more than 250,000 outpatient visits, and more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College Of Osteopathic Medicine.

Opportunity Details:

• Attend to a direct patient panel of adult primary care patients.
• Ensure patient/provider continuity and access to timely and appropriate levels of care.
• Educate, mentor and supervise residents and medical students.
• Work collaboratively with mid-level providers.
• Participate in system-wide performance improvement and quality management projects as needed.

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School and completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or the ability to become Board Certified within 5 years of hire.
• Active or pending NYS License.
• Active DEA license.
• Cultural sensitivity to a diverse patient population required.
• Previous experience working with an underserved patient population preferred.
• Spanish or Cantonese language proficiency is a plus!

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $224,000* (board eligible); $229,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at, $341,920** (board eligible) and $347,420** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
