Must have a License of a Class Three Engineer issued by NIULPE.
Must have a CFC Refrigeration License
Must be able to maintain eight hours of continuous education traing provided by the Local 95 Education Department.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with repairs of refrigeration equipment including refrigerant recovery,

Purpose: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained environment with concentration in HVACR equipment

Essential Functions:
• Maintain and repair all electrical, HVACR, plumbing, and related equipment including, but not limited to chillers, air handlers, fan coils, plumbing fixtures, lighting ballast, and light bulb replacement
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in accordance with scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain all the refrigeration equipment not limited to refrigeration coolers as needed.
• Maintain all HVACR equipment (offices, public areas, conference rooms, guest rooms).
• Provide daily inspection of all equipment mechanical areas.
• Provide technical assistance to other engineers/mechanics as necessary.
• Work on other equipment as needed. (Hood Exhaust Fans, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers etc.)
• Maintain inventory and parts storeroom.
• Order supplies needed to perform repairs.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of the Engineering work order system relative to equipment maintenance repairs.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform work on all HVACR equipment not limited to chillers, fan coils, DX units, refrigeration coolers and related equipment.
• Ability to perform work on all plumbing equipment not limited to urinals, sinks, water closets and related equipment.
• Ability to perform work on all lighting fixtures and replacement of electrical devices.
• Knowledge of fire alarm system

Tools and Equipment:
• Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine,
• Power tools
• Drain Cleaning Equipment
• Hand Tools
• Voltage and amp meters
• Refrigerant testing and recovery equipment

Working Environment:
• Interior of hotel, tenant area, in all areas of the hotel. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/ Carrying
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property

Bending/Kneeling
• Frequent bending and/or kneeling required to inspect and repair equipment

Mobility
• 100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground

Continuous Standing
• No continuous standing required

Climbing
• Stairs - up to approximately 90 steps 10% of work period (approximately 8 hours)
• Ladder – up to approximately 8 feet 20% of work period (approximately 8 hours)

Driving
• No driving required

Work Environment
• Inside 90% of work period (approximately 8 hours)
• Outside 10% of work period (approximately 8 hours)
• 5 to 95 degrees

Hearing/Vision/Speech/Literacy
• Hearing is critical (To hear portable radio, alarms, guests)
• Vision is critical (Inspect and maintain equipment)
• Speech is critical (Respond to portable radio to base, guests)
• Literacy is moderate (Read instructions, repair manuals)

Chemical/Agents Used
• Frequency depends upon jog assignment: Painter would use painting chemicals 90% of time, electric job may not require any

Protective Clothing
• Safety Shoes required
