Primary Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Community Manager, you are key to the operational success of the community, ensuring a seamless and exceptional living experience for all residents. From managing delinquency and administrative tasks to resident engagement and income optimization, you play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly. Your leadership and attention to detail ensure daily operations are on track, while your ability to connect with residents creates a positive and thriving environment.

As an Assistant Community Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading in-house collection efforts and managing communication for delinquent accounts.
  • Implementing strategies to maximize community income through effective rent collection and lease renewals.
  • Auditing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of resident files throughout the move-in and move-out process.
  • Assisting with lease enforcement and ensuring compliance.
  • Addressing resident concerns with patience and empathy, fostering positive relationships.
  • Conducting personalized property tours that drive lease conversions.
  • Being available to work weekends (up to two per month), when prospective residents are typically looking for homes.
  • Ensuring the community is well-maintained, both inside and out, with a professional and polished team appearance.
  • Leading by example which includes coaching, mentoring, and inspiring team members to exceed expectations.
  • Stepping in to take charge in the Property Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.

What you bring to the role:

  • 1+ years of experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
  • A professional, customer-focused attitude and exceptional service skills.
  • A willingness to grow and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with residents and create meaningful relationships.
  • Proficiency with property management software, apps, and general computer programs.
  • A sharp, professional appearance and the ability to represent the brand with pride.
  • A mentorship mindset, with a focus on team growth and success.
  • An ownership mentality, taking responsibility for both the property and the team’s success.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
