Overview 

Reporting to the Global Chief People Officer, the HR Manager -People Business Partner (BP) serves as strategic and hands-on partner working closely with business leadership and teams in assessing, driving, and executing people strategies and solutions across teams, geographies, and functions. This role works both autonomously and leverage collaboration to ensure cohesiveness, efficacy, and optimization.  

Role is hybrid, with 2-3 days on-site required. Based out of Boston or NYC.  Ability to day travel between locations.   

 

Essential responsibilities of the role 

  • Under direction GCPO, partner with business leaders and assigned BUs to help set and implement people strategies, programs, and initiatives.  
  • Proactively identify and diagnose people related issues and challenges.  Partner with management and GCPO in proactively identifying and implementing solutions and opportunities. 
  • Administer annual wheel of People and Business support: performance management, bi-annual review/calibration, mobility, development and growth, merit and profit sharing, succession planning, workforce review and deployment, training & development, compliance, surveys, engagement initiatives, and other programs.  
  • Guide managers with policy/procedures interpretation and application. Assist managers in addressing escalated or complex performance and disciplinary concerns.  
  • Handle day to day employee requests in collaboration with HR operations and other functions.
  • Serve as liaison with parent company (Omnicom) and functional department to leverage available tools and resources available to C Space and its employees.
  • Identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business and facilitates a strong leadership and coaching culture.
  • Additional and adhoc responsibilities and task as assigned by CEO/GCPO.

Ideal candidate 

  • Five (5+) years of progressive experience in a Generalist, HR Manager, HR Business partner or similar HR role
  • Knowledge of HR functions: compensation, workforce planning, change management, org design and effectiveness, L&D, recruitment, compliance, legal, DEI, and employee engagement/culture.
  • Ability to influence, advice, and guide employees across a variety of topics. Help navigate and management difficult situations with sound judgment and objectivity.
  • Knowledge of US employment laws and HR related methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communication with different audience. 

Other Key Requirements  

  • PHR/SRHM-CP, DEI, any other People related containing education and training. 
  • Associates degree or higher; MBA or Business-related education ideal. Flexible, agile, with an ability to operate and deliver within ambiguity, ever-changing client facing spaces and fast paced/demanding work environments.
  • A multi-tasker with strengths in setting priorities and completing projects within deadlines/against budgets.
