About the role

The Hospital Account Executive (HAE) – LATAM plays a key role in advancing Mayo Clinic’s mission by promoting its core values and supporting community-based healthcare and integrated delivery systems through the sales and services of Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL).

In alignment with the MCL sales process and in collaboration with regional field teams, the HAE is responsible for:

  • Driving new business growth and maintaining existing accounts
  • Building and managing long-term strategic relationships—primarily with hospitals and, secondarily, with commercial laboratories
  • Leading the development and execution of account strategies that align with MCL goals and customer needs
  • Effectively communicating the value of MCL’s services to executive and clinical leadership at customer organizations
  • Serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to both external clients and internal MCL teams

The HAE reports to the Director of International Sales for the Americas corridor and works closely with the Regional Team for LATAM, including Clinical Specialty Liaisons (supporting gastroenterology, hematology, infectious diseases, oncology, and neurology), as well as a Regional Service Specialist.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, medical technology, or a related scientific field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales or business management experience
  • Native to full business proficiency in Spanish is required; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus
  • Must reside in the United States and work from a home-based office
  • Must hold an active passport and be willing to travel up to 80% (domestic and international), including occasional weekends
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, ideally with diagnostics or laboratory services
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Highly accountable, self-motivated, and adaptable in fast-paced and cross-functional environments
  • Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused approach—even in complex or adversarial situations
  • Knowledge of regulatory considerations and service standards in international healthcare markets
  • Proven track record of valuing teamwork and collaborating effectively across departments, geographies, and diverse teams
  • Ideally located near a major international airport within the U.S.

Licensure or Certification: 

A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required with an active passport, along with the ability to travel extensively on all forms of major public transportation.
