Summary

The Apprenticeship Training Coordinator is responsible for the planning, scheduling, facilitation and implementation of field and craft technical training. Provides close support to the analyst & supervisor responsible for the development and coordination of training needs. Gathers information, prepares reports and provides support to the ongoing operations of the department. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency in planning, scheduling and execution of training activities.

  • Coordinates with work groups for training matrix development
  • Schedules training sessions and classes
  • Sends class notifications
  • Ensures facility reservations and set-up
  • Arranges catering
  • Proctors classes and tests
  • Tracks attendance
  • Arranges make-up training sessions
  • Enters training rosters into LMS
  • Compiles and distributes individual and group training reports
  • Maintains departmental training information systems
  • Schedules stakeholder committee meetings
  • Records committee meeting minutes
  • Facilitates student evaluations
  • Reviews and modifies training materials
  • Supports department analysis of traiing services provided
  • Orders training aids and materials
  • Arranges instructor support for training sessions
  • Monitors individual and group compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Experience

This position may be filled at one of three levels outlined below, based on the candidate’s relevant education, experience, or a combination of both that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and competencies.

  • Level I: Candidates with up to 3 years of relevant education, experience, or a combination of both.
  • Level 2: Candidates with more than 3 years but less than 6 years of relevant education, experience, or a combination of both.
  • Senior Level: Candidates with 6 or more years of relevant education, experience, or a combination of both.
