Position: Experienced Mechanical Inspector

Location: Baltimore, MD Duration: On-going contract - On-demand Frequency: Average 20 Hours *More hours are available if open to travel to support out-of-state inspections.

 

Responsibilities

Mechanical Source Inspectors:

• Perform mechanical inspection using precision measuring devices/instruments at supplier’s facility to verify compliance to drawings, standards/specifications and other PO requirements.
• Verify material certifications against PO requirements, part marking where required and visually inspect for obvious defects/ damage.

Qualifications

 

• Must have LLC/S-Corp/C-Corp or able to obtain an LLC/S-Corp/C-Corp
• Minimum 5 years of precision mechanical inspection experience is required
• Strong understanding of, and experience with, ANSI Y 14.5 GD&T
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and basic computer skills are a must
• Experience working with tight tolerances
• Hands-on mechanical inspection experience
• Must have experience working with Mil-standards
• Previous source inspection experience
