The Senior Director-Ambulatory Services is responsible for the daily operations within the Pediatric Ambulatory area including outpatient clinical areas, rehabilitation services, satellite clinics, pediatric scheduling, and business operations. This position is also accountable for driving high quality, patient satisfaction, financial success, and aligning strategic goals with the overall mission of UMMC. This position reports to the CEO-Children's and Women's Hospitals with a dotted line to the Ambulatory/Physician Practice Operations and Finance Administrator and Chair of Pediatrics.Education & Experience
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, business administration, or related field. Seven (7) years of leadership in healthcare operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Responsibilities:
Lead pediatric ambulatory operations statewide, overseeing development, implementation, and evaluation of operating and capital budgets. Establish strategic goals and plans aligned with organizational priorities, ensuring fiscal accountability and operational effectiveness.
Work closely with Chair of Pediatrics, ambulatory physician leaders, and Pediatrics DBA to develop protocols, optimize scheduling, and support clinical and operational needs that enhance productivity and patient care delivery.
Partner with facilities, finance, and leadership teams to plan, develop, and manage pediatric clinics and children’s facilities, including construction, renovation, and space allocation to support service growth and quality care.
Oversee day-to-day ambulatory operations, including outpatient and ancillary services, to ensure efficient workflows, high-quality patient experiences, and achievement of HR objectives related to staff satisfaction, recruitment, and retention.
Utilizes and develops market data to assess growth progress throughout the state and develop strategies to address opportunities.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies across coding, HIPAA, safety, infection control, OSHA, CLIA, and other standards to maintain a compliant and safe care environment.
Build and maintain relationships with health systems and community resources to foster collaborations that improve patient health outcomes and support population health initiatives.
Lead complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives, driving program planning, implementation, and execution on time and within budget to support organizational goals.
