POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Analyst, Capital Management will join the Statutory Accounting Team within the Capital Management function.  Capital Management builds upon a foundation of statutory basis Risk-Based Capital (RBC) and informs strategic and tactical decisions related to Global Atlantic’s capital position, interacting with a wide variety of Global Atlantic management at various levels in various functions.

Candidates must be organized, hard working, willing to learn, and good communicators with a background in financial analysis or financial reporting.  This role has an equal mix of individual assigned work and collaborative projects.  It is a high impact role within the team and offers exposure to management throughout the company.

The role would initially be responsible for:

• Reporting monthly on investments capital
  • Monthly stat holdings file process: review investment accounting output, check completeness and accuracy; communicate investments capital trend to a broad group of users
• Coordinate communication, approval, and legal documents to execute intercompany capital moves
• Maintain Regulatory Capital Heat Map of top regulatory issues impacting the company
• Support the following
  • Full cycle of quarterly capital (RBC) forecast and actual by entity and in total (estimate, actual, analysis)
  • Monthly capital management working group sessions to plan and execute intercompany capital moves.
  • Monthly processing of stat holdings file data for RBC estimates
  • C-1 capital reporting for ECC
  • Collaboration over various initiatives as it relates to capital (e.g.)
    • Atlas sale of solar assets
    • Deal memos
    • Impact of regulatory changes
    • Individual channel capital topics
    • Institutional channel capital topics
  • Investments capital topics

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, 3+ years experience in the insurance industry, financial reporting, financial analysis.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from research and report on findings
• Strong communication skills, work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
• Previous experience with capital management, planning or reporting a plus
• Strong Excel skills required

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range.
