Job Summary:

As part of our next generation Infrastructure transformation journey, we are seeking seasoned, passionate, and multi-faucet candidate to join the Infrastructure Software Services team at PayPal. The engineer will interact closely with different development and operational teams at PayPal to drive the Infrastructure Services Automation and Management.

As part of our next generation Infrastructure transformation journey, we are seeking seasoned, passionate, and multi-faucet candidate to join the Infrastructure Software Services team at PayPal. The engineer will interact closely with different development and operational teams at PayPal to drive the Infrastructure Services Automation and Management.

 

What you need to bring

• Experience in working with large scale deployments of distributed services

• Expertise with Programming & Automation using modern programming languages Golang, Python

• Knowledge of Linux Kernel internals and debugging is a huge plus

• Familiarity with Network Security products like both physical & software firewalls is desirable

• Familiarity with Micro Service Deployment & Development

• A Positive "can do" attitude with the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and see them to fruition

• Public Cloud, Networking, Compute, Storage Domain Product Development Experience. (Must) / Large scale distributed product development experience

• Ability guide SW developers and design Micro services systems

• Working with experience with web scale companies (Specifically in designing distributed systems)

 

Your day-to-day

·       Operationalization of Software Automation solution for distributed systems

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business unit leadership in developing project objectives and timelines.

·       Drive detailed definition of feature requirements through discussions with operations team and customers

·       Define project scope.
