Nurse (LPN/RN) Clinical Float

Are you a nurse ready to make a difference across multiple care settings? At Pine Haven Christian Communities, we’re hiring Clinical Float LPN's/RN's who will support residents in both assisted living and memory care across our three campuses. PM shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) and NOC's (10:00pm-6:30am) positions are available.
Essential duties and responsibilities
· Provide leadership and direction on the unit
· Participate in shift report and keep open lines of communication with supervisor, co-workers and on-coming shift
· Make shift rounds to observe the physical and psychosocial status of residents
· Attend nurses and team meetings as scheduled
· Maintain competence in all required skills within the facility
· Treat and ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity and perform nursing duties with the comfort and wellbeing of the resident in mind
· Administer prescribed medications and treatments per MD orders
· Make physician calls to report resident change in condition
· Keep families updated on resident conditions
· Comply with acute emergency protocols and tasks involved in the event of a 911 call
· Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures and standards of nursing
· Chart nurses' notes in a timely, informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well as the resident response
· Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintained
· Attend and participate in required training, conducted at time of hire and/or annually, that will include training designed to assure resident safety: i.e. fire safety, missing resident, evacuations, disaster response, etc.
· Current licensure in the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
· Current CPR Registration
· One-year experience in long-term care or rehab setting is preferred
· Clinical competence to utilize the nursing process to perform physical and cognitive assessments of residents
· Ability to lift up to 40 pound
· Interact, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others
· Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills required
· Must comply with Pine Haven’s policies
