Digital Integration Foreman

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

 

Responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of Low voltage systems. Provides oversight to Low voltage craft team members.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

 

1. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
2. Test low voltage systems and continuity of circuits in low voltage wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
3. Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other low voltage system equipment and components in compliance with low voltage codes, standards, and regulations
4. Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations
5. Repair and maintain high voltage systems
6. Organize work by receiving and studying work orders; gather tools and supplies
7. Read prints, layout work and install new service
8. Repair low voltage problems by replacing faulty parts and components
9. Maintain low voltage systems by conducting system tests; complete preventive maintenance requirements
10. Keep supplies ready by placing orders
11. Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with codes
12. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read technical publications
13. Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
14. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels 
15. All other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

1. Ability to speak and understand English, ability to speak Spanish is a plus
2. Some ability to read plans
3. Shown emotional intelligence; being aware of the motions of self and others
4. Ability to operate equipment such as: table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems
5. Strong teamwork orientation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

1. High school diploma or GED
2. Minimum five years of related experience 
3. Trade or technical school certification/diploma
4. Apprentice aptitude test
5. Union specific training 
6. Project specific/Mortenson training 
7. Current driver’s license
8. Preferred – Industry certifications like:  BICSI INST1, INSTC, INSTF or TECH certification
