Description

As the REWS Head of Facility Management, you will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and day to day operations of all Verily locations, including management responsibility of site level and regional Facility Managers, to include landlord coordination and vendor management. You will act in a customer service role, to support, collaborate, and coordinate with other Verily teams, leaders and staff in the operations of the offices as well as managing the integration of all REWS global programs.  The REWS Head of Facility Management will function as a business partner for the organization, being the point of contact for all REWS programs.  You will act as a general customer liaison for the Verily REWS team and Google workplace services interactions.

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee facility management and engineering programs for Verily operations, to include maintenance and repair programs, capital repairs, budget management, vendor management, and landlord coordination. Deployment of robust maintenance and redundancy planning to ensure facility availability 24/7/365.
  • Provide direct facility management of the Verily Dallas office. Oversee multiple Verily office locations within a defined geographic region and provide management support and guidance for REWS Office Managers in other Verily locations. Oversee REWS programs (Food Service, Reception and Office Management) and manage day to day performance of the Verily Food program (with a focus on cost control and continuous improvement).
  • Provide continuous improvement of existing programs and processes and lead space planning efforts across the organization.
  • Be responsible for REWS vendor management (cost control, performance management) and manage the REWS budget, working closely with REWS leadership and Finance team to forecast and analyze facilities-related spend. Provide data and continuous feedback to REWS leadership through onsite observation, analysis and conversations with key stakeholders; manage REWS-related communications Partner closely with other critical Verily teams (Business Development, Legal, and Procurement, etc) to manage the day-to-day.
  • Ability to travel to other sites under management.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Plus12-15 years of experience in a Program or Facilities Management related role with direct experience in Facilities Maintenance and Repair.
  • Personnel management experience.
  • Experience with Facilities Management principles or Facilities Program operations including preventative maintenance & repair, building systems operations, and furniture installation.
  • Experience with all aspects of vendor management (RFP, contracting, day-to-day-management, performance & spend management).
  • Strong multi-tasking capability with a proven ability to drive progress, work through critical issues, and prioritize solutions across multiple diverse tracks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with senior leadership discussions, presentations, and support. Development of program or site level budgets.
  • Management of facilities support staff including receptionists, maintenance staff, and other amenity vendors.
  • Ability to think strategically, work independently, and manage multiple calendars.
  • Provide a high level of customer service/focus with excellent oral/written communication. Notable experience in event planning, interpersonal skills, problem solving, and willingness to learn new things quickly.

 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,000 - $237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
