Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Provide technical leadership and design expertise for multi-discipline transportation projects, including complex limited-access facilities.
  • Direct engineering evaluations, including data collection, analysis, and alternative solutions assessment.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring compliance with FDOT, AASHTO, and applicable standards.
  • Perform technical reviews (QA/QC) of roadway design calculations, plans, reports, and specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables complying with applicable criteria.
  • Support the construction phase of projects, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and providing problem-solving guidance.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers, fostering professional growth within the roadway team.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
  • 15+ years of experience in roadway engineering, including design, project management and construction support for limited access, interstate and toll road projects.
  • Working knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Strong understanding of FDOT and AASHTO design criteria, guidelines, and specifications.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on complex transportation projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills.
