Title: On-Call Customer Event Diagnostic Specialist

Job Type: Casual/Temporary/Support for Project Based Events
Schedule: Temporary on-call up to 30 hours per week; weekly schedule will require working events on weekends and traveling evenings and weekends.

The Team:
The Field Operations Team builds and maintains relationships with various clients to understand the essentials of their business practice, ensure their business objectives are met and interact directly with their customer base.
The Role:
As part of the Event Management team, you will represent MSX and support the client’s onsite automotive clinics; the clinics will be held in multiple cities across the United States and the goal is to provide software updates as well as distribute anti-theft devices to their customer base.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Complete Software updates on vehicles.
- Ensure updates are completed in accordance with client’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepare vehicle to be connected to Diagnostic Tool
- Utilize diagnostic tools to connect to the vehicle and complete software updates on vehicles.
- Remove diagnostic tools and other equipment from vehicle before allowing the vehicle to be handed back to customer.
- Confirm update was correctly installed and turn the vehicle over to the customer service team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete tasks accurately and timely in order to meet client service level expectations.
- Accurately complete vehicle software updates.
- Ability to travel Wednesday and/or Thursday for a weekend event and fly home after the event Sunday and or Monday Morning.
- Schedule is based on client requirements and will be on an on-call as needed basis.
- Working before and after regular business hours, and weekend hours are required to support client initiatives.
- Positions will be rotated as needed amongst the team throughout the events.
- Must be familiar with completing software updates on multiple makes and models of non-commercial vehicles.
- Must have the ability to think and act quickly to ensure correct actions are being taken in a timely manner.
- May be responsible for other duties related to supporting the events as assigned by, but not limited to, the client requirements and the event management team.
Requirements of the Role:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Strong attention to detail and effective proactive problem-solving skills required.
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a clean, valid driving record.
- Must have the ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule which includes traveling after hours and working 10-hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Travel expenses including flights and hotels will be booked & paid for according to policy by MSX.
- Working before and after regular business hours, and weekend hours are required to support client initiatives.
- Overall awareness and understanding of customer satisfaction and previous experience working in the service industry is important.
- Must be computer literate and have excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and strong attention to detail needed.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to fluently speak English and Spanish is a plus.
- A certain degree of creativity, latitude, and effective problem solving is required.
- H. S. diploma or equivalent required; ASE certification or bachelor’s degree in progress or completed is preferred.
- Previous experience as an automotive technician is a plus.
