About the role:
As Manager, Contract & Budget within the Global Clinical Contract Operations team, you will lead and mentor a team of Contract and Budget Specialists supporting clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, streamlining contract and budget negotiations, and ensuring efficient site startup processes for global medical device studies. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, effective communication, and the ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You’ll be instrumental in developing high-performing teams, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, and advancing Boston Scientific’s mission to transform lives through innovative medical solutions.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and manage a team of Contract & Budget Specialists in support of global clinical trials
• Provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance management for direct reports
• Set performance and productivity expectations and ensure quality standards are consistently met
• Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to support hiring and onboarding processes for employees and contractors
• Partner with Procurement to establish and manage contractor agreements, including contract renewals and system access updates
• Ensure adherence to Quality System requirements and support Boston Scientific’s Quality Policy
• Collaborate closely with Trial Operations Managers to align on timelines, priorities, and site activation strategies
• Serve as reference manager for assigned clinical studies, participating in study kickoff meetings and acting as a liaison between global and divisional stakeholders
• Ensure alignment and communication across the C&B team, including coordination with other C&B/FMV managers
• Act as the first point of contact for contract and budget escalations on assigned studies
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical contract and budget negotiation
• Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or technology
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading small teams
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $ to $, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com.
