Position: Maintenance Tech

Location: Houston, TX

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of routine standard servicing and repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishing, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition. This position requires a minimum of TWO or more years of experience in general building maintenance functions and the ability to read, write, and follow oral and/or written instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform servicing and repair operations:

• • Carry out urgent, corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures as required and maintain related records.

• HVAC maintenance and repair:

• • Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.

• Safety and compliance:

• • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all JLL policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions.

  • Adhere to time management, supply management, and productivity of service.

• Professional growth and development:

• • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.

  • Support department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization.

  • Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (2) or more years of experience in general building maintenance functions.

• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and/or written instructions.
