Responsibilities:

Strategic Budget Analysis and Planning:

  • Conducts detailed budget analysis to support ROI Data and Operations teams, ensuring accurate allocation and utilization of financial resources.

  • Develops and implements financial strategies to optimize budget performance and enhance investment decisions for ROI Data and Operations initiatives.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to monitor budget adherence, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive financial efficiency.

  • Speaker Program Budget Management

  • Manages end-to-end budget process for U.S. Promotional Education Programs following BMS and Transparency guidelines (e.g., Brand budget approval, budget allocation in HCP Connect, managing service orders with HealthSTAR input, reporting to Sales, Marketing, and Finance).

  • Leads BMS matrix team meetings regarding effectiveness and utilization rates of allocations, as well as best practices and investment trends related to Promotional Education Programs.

  • Manages budget reporting process for all programs, and processes monthly, quarterly, and year-end budget reports for brand teams with analytics of spending and forecasts, obtaining input from Elevate.

  • Prepares comprehensive financial reports and presentations to communicate budget status, trends, and recommendations to senior management.

  • Budget Reconciliation and Invoicing Realignments

  • Conducts monthly budget reconciliation meetings with HealthSTAR and BMS Finance to ensure correct invoicing and accurate accounting of funds in HCP Connect.

  • Manages and monitors key performance metrics (SLAs) to ensure HealthSTAR delivers end-to-end process requirements as per their contractual obligations.

  • Reviews, validates, and reconciles invoice data with external partners and vendors, and provides guidance to vendors on tax and due diligence requirements.

  • Compliance Data and Operations

  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines in budget management and reporting processes.

  • Collaborates with Compliance Data team to monitor and report on compliance metrics and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Develops and implements operational procedures to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinates with Operations team to streamline processes and improve data accuracy and integrity.

  • Conducts regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required.

  • Candidate should possess 10+ years of professional work experience preferably in finance, accounting, auditing, and financial operations.

Competencies:

  • Advanced understanding of financial principles, with both an innovative and forward-thinking ability to draw insights and correlations from financial information, when paired with other key data sets and metrics, with the objective of optimizing Promotional Education Programs investment.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts and information with confidence, including process concepts, budget, and financial information.

  • Ability to solve problems, including root cause analysis, engaging the matrix team in solution options, and driving optimum problem resolution.

  • Excellent organization skills with ability to manage multiple activities, projects, and initiatives simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels of the BMS organization
