Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in power systems and experience working on Navy projects or contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing power electronics systems and components for naval applications. This role requires a deep understanding of power conversion, energy storage, and distribution systems, as well as familiarity with military standards and regulations. Potential hybrid 1-2 days remote per week after 90 days.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced power electronics systems for naval applications, including power converters, inverters, rectifiers, and energy storage systems.
- Perform detailed analysis and simulation of power systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Develop and implement control algorithms for power electronics systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics systems into larger naval platforms and systems.
- Conduct testing and validation of power electronics components and systems to meet military standards and specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and related technologies.
- Ensure compliance with Navy project requirements, including MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810.
- Participate in design reviews, project planning, and risk assessments.
