Position responsibilities:
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with leadership and technology teams to determine scope and vision.
- Clearly identify stakeholders, establish user classes, and understand their requirements.
- Act as a trusted liaison between technology and business units to understand and advocate for business needs.
- Participate in Scrum events using Agile methodology, including writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business needs, employing methods such as workshops, questionnaires, surveys, and office visits.
- Analyze and model business processes to ensure that both current and proposed software fulfills the requirements.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into clear functional requirements for the development team.
- Ensure completeness, consistency, and conformity to standards of all gathered requirements.
Requirements Analysis:
Technology & Process Implementation:
- Research, recommend, and assist in the implementation of software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open-source components.
- Coordinate requirements walk-throughs and signoffs, ensuring alignment with user needs.
- Be proactive in identifying and advocating for new technologies to optimize business processes.
- Work across the organization to introduce and implement business process changes and application practices.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
- Develop and conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure accurate interpretation.
- Develop test procedures to ensure software and modifications meet user specifications.
Operational Excellence:
- Analyze, recommend, and implement strategies to enhance current requirements-gathering processes.
- Provide guidance and/or instruction to staff members and drive a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
- Participate in the selection and QA of technology solutions, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Resolve issues with usage of supported applications, while addressing process issues to reduce future issues
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree in business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, and modeling.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scrum framework, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel, Office 365 tools (Flow, Forms, SharePoint), and intermediate knowledge of database principles (SQL queries, data mapping).
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL Server (scripts: Select, Filter, Join), and basic computer science principles.
- Prior consulting experience and a working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication abilities.
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and the capability to prioritize under pressure.
- Client service orientation with a collaborative work ethic.
