Principal Product Manager, Capella Analytics

Couchbase is looking for a Principal product manager to take on a key role in our products organization focused on cloud security and identity management. 

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product roadmap and objectives, ensuring that product objectives are aligned with the organization’s long-term strategy 
• Lead the development of product strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for the Analytics Cloud Service 
• Gather and prioritize customer and market requirements to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product offerings 
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure product delivery meets customer requirements
• Lead and participate in customer discovery and feedback sessions 
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers 
• Develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans
• Monitor and analyze customer and market data to identify trends and opportunities
• Monitor the competitive landscape and provide insights to inform product strategy 
• Manage product pricing, packaging, and positioning 
• Become an expert on the use cases, challenges, and needs of our customer

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data and analytics 
• Experience leading engineering teams in an agile environment 
• Experience with Serverless architecture and data platforms
• Experience with large-scale distributed data systems for analytics, streaming and processing data, data lakes for storage, Databases, or Data as Service products.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to develop and present product strategy and roadmap 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills 
• Knowledge of emerging machine learning and AI ecosystems 
• Understanding of NoSQL databases and the modern data stack 
• Experience with SaaS products and services 
• Ability to drive and deliver high-quality products on tight timelines 
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field

The anticipated starting base pay range for this role is $177,000 - $225,000 per year. Base salary is not the only component of our competitive total rewards package - you will also be eligible for a bonus, equity, and other benefits as described below. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
