Intertek’s Industry Services team uses expert technical knowledge of industries such as oil & gas, power generation, renewable energy, chemical, construction and transportation to provide a diverse range of innovative Total Quality Assurance solutions that optimize operations while minimizing risks in quality, safety and cost. Some of our key services include vendor inspection, site construction services, asset integrity management, non-destructive & materials testing, 3D laser scanning & dimensional control and energy & water consulting services.

Intertek is searching for Dimensional Control, Land and Engineering Surveyors to join our Industry Services team in our Houston, Texas office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Industry Services!

How you’ll make an impact at Intertek:

• Operates effectively within a survey team with minimum supervision.
• Carries out a minimum of 75% of all aspects of Dimensional Control and Laser Scanning (as required within general survey work activities).
• Prepares survey drawings and reports using Auto-Cad, Excel, and Word.
• Trains and assess trainee personnel.
• Performs and checks piping spool surveys.
• Directs/performs simple DC surveys and projects.
• Liaises with client representatives and drafts / checks simple project final reports.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
• 3 years’ of survey experience is required
• Experience with various forms of survey technology including; Topography, GPS, Laser Scanning, and 3-D Calculation and Drawing software is required
• Mid-level knowledge of Dimes, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word is required
• Ability to execute most tasks including surveying, calculations, drawings, and related survey reports is required
• Competent in operating a Laser Scanner
• Must be comfortable in written and oral communication skills and well organized
• Must be prepared to travel
