Position Overview

Jacksonville Correctional Center is looking for an energetic candidate to serve as an Account Technician I in the facility Business Office. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, task oriented, has excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail. This position will enter a variety of information into various computer systems. In addition, they will receive and process all cash received into all Locally Held Funds and serve as a resource to lower-level staff. Essential Functions

  • Enters all commodity store inventory receiving reports and issues into the System Application Products (SAP) system.
  • Enters all property transactions into the automated property control system.
  • Receives and processes all cash received into all Locally Held Funds.
  • Serves as a resource to lower-level staff.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college and completion of an approved training course OR three (3) years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
  • Qualifying state employees in the employee Upward Mobility Program, may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers at least two (2) years of experience collaborating
