Job Description
Freshworks is looking for a collaborative and driven strategist and communicator to join our product marketing team to lead industry Analyst Relations.
As the Sr. Director of AR, you will lead all key areas of the analyst relations program. This leader will be responsible for establishing and managing tangible AR objectives, driving program strategy, leading Freshworks’ participation in select analyst evaluations, and driving quality inbound and outbound conversations with analysts. Reporting to the VP, Product Marketing, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the company to execute our AR strategy and nurture Freshworks’ relationships with the industry analyst community.
AR is a strategic and highly-visible function at our company, and we’re looking for a motivated candidate who will make an impact immediately and ultimately further our team’s vision as the leader of customer and employee engagement software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic analyst relations plan that aligns with the company's overall marketing and business objectives.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with top-tier industry analysts from firms such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and others
- Drive analyst awareness of Freshworks’ offerings, own key analyst relationships, and expand analysts’ understanding of company strategy and worldview, customer stories, and products
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all analyst interactions, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Serve as a trusted partner internally, providing detailed preparation and insightful feedback to product management, marketing, executives and Freshworks’ spokespeople
- Drive inclusion and favorable outcomes in relevant analyst reports, including Magic Quadrants, Waves, MarketScapes, and other industry assessments.
- Leverage analyst insights and feedback to influence product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Review analyst research in Freshworks’ categories and adjacent product areas to surface recommendations to our strategy, corporate development, and leadership teams
- Speak with analysts and read research to identify new trends and emerging market categories
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all analyst interactions, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Manage and prioritize inbound analyst requests, including participation in ranking reports, research briefings and customer references in select coverage areas
- Lead strategic dialogues between Freshworks and analysts, including your own 1:1 discussions with analysts, inquiries with Freshworks’ spokespeople to gain analyst insights, and outbound updates
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, briefing documents, and other materials to effectively communicate the company’s vision, strategy, and product offerings to analysts.
- Drive alignment with communications, product marketing, content marketing, and demand generation counterparts on cross-functional efforts such as product news releases, blog posts, company events, and campaigns
- Organize and host analyst days, webinars and other events to showcase the company’s thought leadership and innovation
- Consume and summarize key analyst research, presentations, and events for internal distribution. Maintain an internal communications channel.
- Manage a team of Analyst Relations managers/specialists to provide business coverage at scale
