Job Summary
The Senior Franchise Growth Director is responsible for elevating the growth and success of our franchise system. The role serves as the primary liaison between the brand and franchise partners in a specified territory. The role builds influence through strong, credible, trusting relationships with their direct reports, franchisees and operating partners The role facilitates successful achievement of business goals by performing business reviews and offering meaningful recommendations aimed at driving, new store growth, improved revenue growth and operational excellence. The role ultimately protects the Papa Johns brand through supporting profitable franchisees that are growing the business.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
- Lead a team of FGDs and BSCs to achieve goals and objectives
- Manage budgets set forth for their team relating to T&E
- Responsible for improving their team’s KPI results by analyzing data and using available tools
- Develop existing DMAs through market plans
- Partner with Franchise sales team to sign identify market optimization opportunities leading to the execution of new development agreements
- Educate Franchisees on the process for remodeling existing restaurants and construction of NRO’s
- Partner with Real Estate team with site selection/approval
- Partner with Construction team to expedite NRO builds, assist in monitoring milestones and holding Franchisees accountable to their Development Agreement schedule dates
- Partner with Field Marketing to influence sales growth, helping to monitor the execution of local marketing plans and to ensure successful NRO’s
- Influence Commercial Growth through Revenue Management strategy
- Influence engagement in new product launches to guarantee successful operational execution
- Ensure the Franchisees follow training requirements of the Management Development Program (MDP), period promotion training and successful training of new team members for NRO’s
- Be an extension of commercial growth by influencing objectives and actions
- Use tools and resources to drive franchise profitability, improve 4 wall EBITDA and cash on cash returns
- Influence improvement of operational results through restaurant optimization
- Facilitate business review process with Franchisees to assess performance based on previous goals and commitments, and to align on future goals and commitments
- Achieve improvements in guest experience, product quality, training, image, and profitability
- Frequent communication with the Franchisee, through regular check-ins to monitor results against goals, providing recommendations and priorities for the Franchisee to address
- Track operational improvements and follow up on action plans based on restaurant evaluations conducted by the Brand Standards Coach (BSC)
- Effective use of budgeted T&E to conduct business appropriately
