Position Summary...
What you'll do...
The ideal Senior Manager, Global Communications - Editorial, is an analytical thinker who loves shaping, writing, and telling stories primarily through owned digital channels (corporate site, social media, radio/audio, digital signs, and apps, etc.). As a baseline, strong candidates for this role will have demonstrated excellence in writing, editing and the strategic application of creative thinking to differentiate and humanize brands through a storytelling lens. You’ll think on your feet daily, pivoting and multitasking on a variety of storytelling tasks. You’ll be involved in projects that reach diverse audiences both internally and externally.
The ability to jump in with an executive presence and thought leadership is key to success. Candidates should have strong writing skills (copywriting, feature writing, social media writing, etc.), and audience-centric mindset and experience with brand journalism. Exceptional candidates will also have demonstrated experience in thinking beyond the written word, with a strong point of view on shaping and driving narratives across visual media (graphics, photography, video, etc.) to elevate a story.
This is a creative role that demands a knack for colorful storytelling, conceptual thinking across platforms and audiences and the ability to function as part editor, part strategist and part producer.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field
AND 4 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related field
OR 6 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related area.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if:
- You have a passion for brand journalism and storytelling.
- You have excellent writing and editing skills.
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree in communications, English, creative writing, or journalism.
- You have proven experience managing multiple deadlines simultaneously and strong organizational and project management skills.
- You have strong attention to detail.
- You have a successful history of storytelling on a variety of platforms (social media, web-based, video, etc.)
You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment. It will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.
