UT Parking and Transportation Services is responsible for the management of over 17,000 parking spaces on campus, including 12 parking garages and more than 50 surface parking lots. Our operations include the distribution and regulation of daily, permitted, and event parking, as well as the maintenance of parking lots and garages. We also provide assistance to those parked on or traveling through campus. This assistance includes jump-starts and opening vehicles for those locked out. Purpose
To perform complex accounting functions in areas of accounts receivables, account management, customer service, and business processes in compliance with university policies and procedures. Supervise team members.
Responsibilities
- Process, verify and audit PTS income. Invoice and collect payments for permit sales and event revenue. Monitor and report trends for budget projections.
- Audit income streams including credit card activity, permit sales, event parking, payroll deduction and student accounts receivables based on the Office of Accounting policy for reconciliation. Assist with budget forecasting and account reconciliations.
- Manage communication with customers related to billing, refunds, and invoicing. Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and customers via oral and written format.
- Supervise team members in processing daily functions. Ensure processes adhere to UT policies and guidelines.
- Other related functions as assigned. Occasional weekend, holiday, comp, and overtime hours required as needed. Must work required number of home football games each year based on that year’s policy. The policy may include the home football game during the week of Thanksgiving. The policy is subject to change.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Minimum five years of responsible experience in finance and accounting. One to two years of auditing experience. Ability to analyze and interpret budgetary expenditures, financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures.
Ability to display tact and professionalism, work cooperatively
