About the role:

Samsara’s People Team is growing and we are looking to add a Staff Compensation Partner to our rockstar team! This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to deliver impactful solutions to a hyper-growth company.

We are looking for a highly collaborative, technical and results oriented individual to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional HR teams, business leaders, and people leaders to deliver on a combination of strategic and tactical compensation programs that attracts, recognizes/rewards top talent. This role will primarily provide compensation support to key leaders in the Sales and R&D function, drive our compensation cycles, and impact future compensation design, processes, policies, and programs.

In this role, you will: 

  • Consult with executive-level business leaders to develop and implement compensation strategies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Finance and Sales Operations, to ensure the compensation structure aligns with business priorities
  • Proactively research and recommend ways to stay ahead of compensation/equity trends and developments in the markets in which we compete for talent
  • Develop cost models, forecast analysis, and design recommendations on a variety of global compensation programs
  • Create scalable compensation programs and processes from ideation to implementation
  • Lead the organization in our bi-annual compensation review cycles
  • Maintain job architecture and compensation bands to ensure market competitiveness and scalability
  • Consult and partner with the broader People team on compensation matters to ensure we are retaining and attracting top talent
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

An ideal candidate also has:

  • 12+ years experience in Compensation; preferably in a high-growth tech com
