History

Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital. 

Summary of Responsibilities 

To be successful as a Dietary Supervisor, you should have   the ability to develop a team and the leadership skills to ensure that your team understands what is required of them. An excellent Supervisor should be   able to handle multiple duties simultaneously and should be extremely organized. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire kitchen. This individual must be able to work well and communicate with other departments to ensure effective relationships among departments are met. Must be able to accurately and efficiently keep inventory and ordering of all food and non-food products. Also, be able to perform other duties around the kitchen as assigned by The Nutrition Services Director. Must be able to train and develop kitchen staff as well as, performs monthly training with Nutrition staff.

Requirements

Education

 High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.    

Licenses/Certificates

Must have a Serv Safe Food Production Management Certification prior or within 30 days of hire. 

Experience

Two (2) years experience as a Supervisor in a Kitchen Environment or Three (3) years of experience in a supervisor role. Bilingual a plus, not required.

Physical Requirements

High potential for exposure to blood and body fluids. Personal protective equipment required for at-risk procedures. Exposure to risk in the form of disease, radiation, and disoriented and/or combative patients. May be requested to be on standby and work extended shifts in situations which are considered emergent.
