What will I be doing? 

ü Assist with development of the Transportation Department budget.

ü Coordinate with Finance Department staff to track expenditures within the Transportation Department Budget and the Unified Planning Work Program budget.

ü Develop and track the Transportation Department activities included in the federally-required bi-annual Unified Planning Work Program.

ü Coordinate and facilitate amendments to the Unified Planning Work Program, including activity descriptions, funding table adjustments, and submittal to funding agencies for approval.

ü Field documentation requests from consultants, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and other funders.

ü Serve as subject matter expert for the Unified Planning Work Program and Transportation Department budgets, including eligible expenses.

ü Development of the federally-required Annual Performance and Expenditure Report.

Key Qualifications 

ü Experience developing and administering large agency budgets.

ü Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products or other project management tools.

ü Strong communication skills.

ü Ability to work under pressure, under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.

ü Governmental finance/accounting experience.

ü Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field.

Do you have… 

ü Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study.

ü 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties.
