What You Will Do

This role is primarily responsible for coordinating the execution of medical congress activities within the Rare Disease therapeutic area, as well as managing day-to-day activities associated with the development and dissemination of digital medical scientific content. Responsibilities include:

  • Congress activities: manage the tactics and ensure alignment, consistency, and timely completion across all activities. S/he will lead medical logistics meetings, keep internal tools and trackers up to date with relevant information, manage individual workload, prioritize tasks, and alert Scientific Communications team to potential risks or concerns and support appropriate triage. This role will also lead projects focused on optimizing communication process and deliverables at priority congresses.

Digital content: work with Scientific Communications team members to manage the day-to-day activities associated with development and dissemination of digital medical scientific content, including virtual medical congress booths, and digital content associated with publications. This role may also provide support, as needed, the development of podcasts, videos, website content, webinars, and digital interactives.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to prioritize, independently identify, analyze and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and judgment
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
  • High degree of self-motivation and enthusiasm with high attention to detail
  • 2+ years’ experience in pharma/biotech meeting planning experience, scientific communication materials
  • Ability to travel to medical congresses (for ~3-5 days) 3 to 4 times per year
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, with little to no instruction on routine work and only general guidance on assignments.

Bachelor’s Degree
