Work Shift:
Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)Responsible for treating assigned patients including obtaining accurate prescription, reviewing charts adequately, evaluating patients and documenting according to policy.Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
B. Experience:
Three (3) internships/affiliations satisfactorily completed. Twelve (12) weeks of clinical experience at a university-approved hospital.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current PT licensure by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy. Must obtain and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Primary Stroke Center/Acute Stroke Ready Designation Policy.
D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety physical therapy equipment to include ultrasound, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, iontophoresis, TEN's units, paraffin bath, fluidotherapy, Biodex, biofeedback, traction, and exercise equipment.
