About the role
This position reports to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and is responsible for estimating and pricing of Tritium products and services, customer commercial matters, and managing the cross-functional engagement between the global sales team and internal business departments within Tritium.
This role will work closely with the sales vice presidents and their teams in each region, to provide commercial leadership to enable success in achieving company targets for orders, revenue, margin and cash. This role will engage directly with customers for large scale commercial negotiations, routine commercial reviews for strategic accounts, management of accounts receivable, and addressing customer commercial queries.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Estimating and pricing:
- Collaborate with cost accountants from the finance department on estimating policies and procedures to use for all products and services that will be sold by the global sales team.
- In collaboration with product managers and the sales team, research and analyze market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer behavior to develop effective pricing strategies for Tritium product and services.
- Collaborate with product managers, the sales team, and the finance department to align pricing strategies to meet or exceed the objectives of Tritium’s annual operating plan.
- Prepare pricing for approval and distribution internally as required for products and services.
- Lead the estimating, pricing and commercial actions for bids and proposals.
Customer engagement:
- Contribute to customer contract negotiations and provide leadership and guidance on commercial-related negotiation topics.
- Collaborate between customers and the finance department to establish win-win payment/commercial terms across various categories of customers.
- Manage customer commercial queries either directly, or in support of an account manager or customer success manager.
- Attend and contribute to periodic reviews for global strategic accounts.
- Oversee and manage the timely payment of invoices from all customers
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Oversee and manage an effective and high performing cross-functional relationship between the global sales team and all relevant departments within Tritium, especially the finance department.
- Collaborate across operational business functions to enable accurate and timely reporting of revenue and margin data.
- Prepare and present financial results from the global sales team at routine business operations meetings.
Global sales commercial management:
- Manage the data and reporting of performance-based compensation metrics for each employee in the global sales team. Prepare and issue compensation reports for review and approval by the CSO, the finance department, and the human resources department.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in pricing strategy development and implementation, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and pricing modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
