WHO WE AREIntrepid College Prep is a network of free, college preparatory public charter schools located in the Antioch area of Greater Nashville, Tennessee. We educate scholars at two campuses: Opportunity Academy Middle School and Independence Academy High School. Our 5-12 model ensures that scholars have the opportunity to engage in a rigorous, college-preparatory education for eight years prior to their transition to college and the professional opportunities that follow. We are an open-enrollment school, which means that our scholars do not have to take an entrance test or pay tuition to enroll.

The Assistant Principal of Student Life is responsible for managing and running all aspects of student life. They are part of a leadership team that manages Academics, Operations, College, and Student Life. As the Assistant Principal of Student Life they oversee everything from Community Groups, celebrations, testing culture, student behavior/consequences, and all things student life.

Assistant Principal of Student Life Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a consistent, achievement-oriented, and joyful school culture through structured systems, policies, and expectations.
- Promote a culture of growth, equity, and community engagement for students and families.
- Partner with teachers and leaders to cultivate a disciplined, supportive school environment aligned with the school’s mission.
- Coach and support staff in building strong classroom management and maintaining high, consistent behavioral expectations.
- Serve as a school-wide resource for student discipline, classroom relationships, and culture-building strategies.
- Oversee restorative discipline practices that reflect the school’s educational philosophy and prioritize student learning and accountability.
- Provide real-time coaching and direct support to students navigating behavioral challenges, using trauma-informed mediation, de-escalation, and restorative practices.
- Design, track, and adjust individualized behavior intervention plans in collaboration with staff and families.
- Respond to behavioral incidents with professionalism, employing trauma-sensitive crisis intervention strategies.
