SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for various aspects of tax accounting, tax compliance, and tax research. The qualified candidate is a self-motivated, energetic and confident individual with solid communication and problem solving skills. Attention to detail, flexibility, accountability, and the ability to take ownership are essential. This position will regularly interact with domestic and international finance personnel. Looking for an individual who can flourish in a challenging, fast-paced professional environment.  While position is based in Greensboro, NC, will consider remote within NC and/or remote where Qorvo has existing presence: TX, OR, FL, VA, MD, GA, SC with ability to travel into office as required.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of the US federal income tax return and supporting documentation, including Forms 5471 for controlled foreign corporations, Forms 8858 for disregarded foreign entities, and Forms 1118 for foreign tax credits
• Determine and maintain supporting documentation of earnings and profits, foreign taxes, PTEP, and US tax basis for each foreign subsidiary and foreign branch  
• Calculate taxable distributions, §78 gross-ups, §986(c) gains/losses, §987 gains/losses, Subpart F income, ECI, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, etc.
• Determine and maintain supporting documentation for allocations to foreign source income
• Assist in p​​​​​reparation of international components of quarterly and annual GAAP tax provisions
• Assist in the review and documentation of intercompany pricing of products and services, preparation of transfer pricing reports, and related compliance filings
• Assist with local tax reporting and filing requirements of foreign subsidiaries and foreign branches
• Research international tax issues
• Assist with IRS or other tax authority examinations
• Monitor and evaluate impact of pending and enacted tax legislation in foreign countries and tax reporting initiatives by IRS, OECD, foreign governments, and other regulatory agencies
• Assist business partners by analyzing tax implications and considerations of contemplated transactions, and business initiatives and proposals to aid in their decision-making
• Identify opportunities for and assist in process improvement and automation efforts
• Other projects as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Minimum of 4 years' international tax experience with substantive US corporate income tax and US GAAP income tax accounting knowledge
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and building good working relationships
• Outstanding verbal communication, written communication, and Excel skills
• Experience with SAP, BPC, and/or OneSource a plus
