YOUR NEW ROLE
In this brand new role, you will directly reporting into the President of our Cardiopulmonary division, overseeing the end-to-end supply chain. You will be responsible for running the over 1000 FTE organisation that is globally spread across 5 manufacturing sites as well as the broader global organization, synchronizing supply demands with the manufacturing footprint and driving efficiencies.
Whilst providing strategic organizational leadership to the operations function, your primary objective will be to facilitate the creation of sustainable competitive advantage through achieving operational excellence in manufacturing footprint, safety, quality, delivery, cost, working capital, sustainability, and innovation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Be a visionary leader, able to deliver and drive the CP Strategy through day-to-day execution, demonstrating deep understanding and experience in delivering successful key projects and overall operations with a sense of urgency and strong communication skills.
- Ensure overall health and safety standards are met at each manufacturing site and throughout the supply chain
- Champion the LivaNova Business System (LBS) principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Streamline demand planning processes to ensure accurate forecasting and efficient resource allocation.
- Enhance the alignment between supply chain and demand planning with the business, emphasizing clear and effective communication.
- Address the identified weaknesses in the company's ERP system by installing and ensuring the smooth operation of a full-working ERP system.
- Drive the execution of the divisional strategy to regain speed and granularity in product launches and achieve strategic objectives.
- Oversee the footprint optimisation and operations of all manufacturing sites within the Cardiopulmonary division. Optimize the footprint by ensuring factories are strategically located and operate at peak performance. Enhance the production process to meet and exceed industry standards.
- Manage the site leaders of each manufacturing site, ensuring effective coordination and alignment with the divisional goals.
- Integrate Procurement and Demand Planning, Distribution and Logistics, ensuring efficient supply chain management and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize production capacity across the diverse manufacturing sites, considering different capabilities, space constraints, and resource challenges.
- Enhance team building and development efforts, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-performing employees.
Desired outcomes:
- Create and implement a “big picture” strategy to tie manufacturing, procurement, demand planning together to create a best-in-class operations organization
- Improve the production capacity of each site, thinking high level about capabilities and optimizing productivity across the division
- Solve resource challenges, create a “talent destination” culture and improve attraction and retention across the supply chain organization
- Prioritize a focus on ESG within the supply chain, transitioning from insourcing to outsourcing while emphasizing sustainability and ethical practices.
ABOUT YOU
- Seasoned operations leader with substantial experience in optimizing a global operations organization, and deep expertise across the end-to-end supply chain within a large, matrix environment.
- Previous experience operating in regulated setting. While experience in the medical device sector is not a necessity, it would be preferred if s/he has managed complex product portfolios (capital equipment, consumables, software)
- Has managed multi-country organizations with broader regional exposure, preferably global.
- Track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement methodologies
